What you can make

An image from a sentence
Describe the scene, the light and the style in a sentence or two. The model expects full scene descriptions, so a short list of keywords gives it less to work with.
"a corgi in a yellow raincoat on a rainy Tokyo side street at night, neon reflections, 35mm"

An edited photo
Say what to change: "Swap the mug for a glass of iced coffee." "Make it evening." The rest of the photo stays close to the original, which early Reddit testers liked most about this model.

One picture from many
Drop in up to 10 reference images, such as a product, a model, a background and a color swatch. Then ask for one picture that combines them.
4K
about 16 megapixels
Large prints
The model renders natively from 768 px up to 4K. Here you choose 1K, 2K or 4K, for 1, 2 or 4 credits per image.

The model
What is FLUX 3 Image Klein?
FLUX 3 Image Klein is an image model from Black Forest Labs (BFL), the team behind the FLUX models. BFL released its weights to the public on October 15, 2026. It is the small, downloadable member of the FLUX 3 Image family, and one model does three jobs: it makes images from text, edits photos from an instruction, and combines several reference images.
Flux Klein Pro is an independent site. We run the model through a hosted API and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Black Forest Labs.

Online vs local
Running it yourself vs using it here
You can download the weights and run the model on your own computer. That makes sense if you already own a strong graphics card and like to tinker. Here is what each route takes:
| Run it yourself | Use it here | |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware | An NVIDIA RTX card. BFL says a compressed (INT8) version runs on 8 GB cards. The full-size reference code uses about 31 GB at 1024 px. | Any laptop, tablet or phone with a browser |
| Setup | ComfyUI or Diffusers, plus a Hugging Face download that asks for your contact details | None |
| Cost | Your GPU and electricity | 5 free credits when you sign up. After that, 1 credit per 1K image, 2 per 2K and 4 per 4K. |
If you only want to see what FLUX 3 Klein can do, or you need a few images for a project this week, the online version skips all of the setup above.
Honest notes
Where it does well, and where it struggles
FLUX 3 Klein is at its best when you edit. You can change one thing in a photo and keep the rest close to the original, or blend several reference images into one scene.

It still gets some things wrong:
- Hands and bodies. Early Reddit testers report extra fingers and odd limbs in some text-to-image results. Running the same prompt again can help.
- Text in images. BFL's model card says rendered text may come out wrong, so check every letter before you use an image.
- Exact edits. Bounding boxes are a guide, not a hard mask, so the model may still change things near the box.
Tips: Describe the whole scene, not just the subject. Name the light, like "late afternoon sun from the left." When you edit, say what should stay the same as well as what should change.
Use cases
Who uses it

Online sellers put one product photo into ten different settings without booking a new shoot.

Social media managers: a week of post images that share one look, built from a few references.

Designers try out layouts and moods before opening Figma or Photoshop.
or just open a tab.

Comparison
FLUX 3 Klein vs FLUX.2 Klein
FLUX.2 Klein came out in January 2026. Here is how the two models compare on paper:
| FLUX.2 Klein | FLUX 3 Image Klein | |
|---|---|---|
| Released | January 15, 2026 | October 15, 2026 |
| Model size | 4B and 9B | 5.6B |
| Reference images | Up to 4 | Up to 10 |
| Largest output | Up to 4 megapixels | Native 4K (about 16 megapixels) |
| Bounding boxes | Not listed | Yes |
| License | 4B: Apache 2.0. 9B: non-commercial | FLUX Kommunity License |
In BFL's own tests, FLUX 3 Klein scored 91 Elo points higher than FLUX.2 Klein 9B for text-to-image and 70 points higher for editing. (Elo is a head-to-head rating, like in chess.) These are company numbers, and no independent leaderboard has ranked the new model yet. Some early Reddit testers still got better text-to-image results from FLUX.2 Klein 9B, so it's worth trying your own prompts.
